Light Work invites photographers and image-based artists worldwide to apply for its Artist-in-Residence Program in Syracuse, New York. The month-long residency provides time and resources for artists to focus on creative projects without external obligations.
Selected artists receive a $5,000 stipend, a furnished apartment, 24-hour access to Light Work’s state-of-the-art facilities, and generous staff support. Additionally, their work is published in a special edition of The Light Work Annual, accompanied by an essay commissioned by Light Work.
Open to artists worldwide working in photography or image-based media. Applicants must not be enrolled in a degree-granting program at the time of the residency. Light Work encourages applications from individuals of diverse backgrounds and approaches to photography, including art photography, documentary, and photojournalism.
