Overview

The Hopper Prize is a grant-making institution and digital archiving platform that offers individual artist grants on a bi-annual basis. Established to provide grants, visibility, and career-enhancing validation to artists demonstrating a serious commitment to their work, the Hopper Prize accepts submissions through open calls. Awards are available to artists working in any media, with recipients selected based on artistic excellence and potential.

Reward

In the Spring 2025 cycle, two artists will each receive an unrestricted cash grant of $3,500, and four artists will each receive $1,000. Additionally, 30 artists will have their work archived on hopperprize.org, with selected submissions featured on the Hopper Prize Instagram feed and in their online Journal.

Eligibility

The Hopper Prize is open to all artists aged 18 and older, regardless of nationality, working in any media. There are no restrictions on genre, subject matter, or media. Artists from diverse cultural backgrounds at all stages of their professional careers are encouraged to apply.
