Freshwater Storytelling
Overview
The National Geographic Society invites accomplished storytellers to submit proposals that raise awareness about sustainable freshwater use and its global impact. This initiative, supported by the Conrad Hilton Foundation, aims to highlight stories that inspire change and address critical water issues. By funding visual storytelling, the program seeks to foster a deeper understanding of the challenges and solutions surrounding freshwater resources.
Reward
Successful applicants may receive grants up to $100,000 to support their projects, along with opportunities to join the National Geographic Explorer Community and access to training courses, software tools, and other resources.
Eligibility
Open to storytellers globally, including photographers, filmmakers, writers, and data visualizers, with a proven track record of successful media projects. Applicants should submit a portfolio as part of their application.
