The Ted Scripps Fellowships offer mid-career journalists a year-long opportunity to deepen their understanding of environmental science and policy. Fellows pursue independent projects, audit university classes, and participate in seminars and field trips, gaining expertise to advance their reporting on environmental issues.
Fellows receive a $80,000 stipend, full access to courses at the University of Colorado Boulder, and travel expenses to attend the Society of Environmental Journalists annual conference.
Open to mid-career journalists with at least five years of professional experience. Applicants must demonstrate a strong interest in environmental journalism and propose an independent project to pursue during the fellowship.
