The Nieman Foundation aim to promote and elevate the standards of journalism and educate and support those poised to make important contributions to its future. They do this through their fellowship programs; their publications, online and in-print; and programming that convenes some of the leading thinkers of our time.
Awardees recieve a stipend of $85,000.
All applicants for academic-year Nieman Fellowships, including freelancers, must be working journalists with at least five years of full-time media experience.
