The MacDowell Fellowship provides artists across disciplines with uninterrupted time and space to focus on creative projects. Fellows live and work in private studios on the MacDowell campus while benefiting from meals, community, and the support of fellow artists. This residency encourages artistic exploration and the development of meaningful new work.
Winners are awarded free residencies, with the option to apply for need-based stipends and travel reimbursement. Residencies include private studios, meals, and access to the MacDowell community.
Open to artists worldwide working in architecture, film/video, interdisciplinary arts, literature, music composition, theater, and visual arts.
