Established to honor the legacy of business leader Harold W. McGraw, Jr., this fellowship provides experienced journalists with the funding and editorial support to produce high-impact stories on critical business, economic, and financial topics. The fellowship encourages in-depth investigative and enterprise reporting that tackles underreported issues and explores economic inequality, corporate accountability, and more.
Fellows receive up to $15,000 to support their reporting, along with editorial guidance throughout the project. Completed stories are published in collaboration with leading media outlets and on the McGraw Center’s website.
The fellowship is open to freelance and staff journalists with at least five years of professional experience. Applicants must submit a focused story proposal on a business or economic topic.
