The Esserman-Knight Journalism Awards recognize outstanding investigative and public service reporting in South Florida. The awards honor journalists who take risks to expose injustice, demand accountability, and provide critical information that serves the public good.
Winners receive a $10,000 first prize, a $5,000 second prize, and $1,000 for honorable mentions. The awards celebrate journalism that sheds light on underreported issues and holds powerful institutions accountable.
These awards are open to journalists of all nationalities. Entries can include print, online, television, radio, video, audio, and data visualization work.
